It's back. My motherhood diary is making a comeback to document the arrival of and adjustment to my second child. In these weekly motherhood diary entries I will share the highs, lows and challenges of second-time motherhood. 1. “Sometimes the strength of motherhood is greater than natural laws.” – Barbara Kingsolver. 2. “To describe my mother would be to write about a hurricane in its perfect power. Or the climbing, falling colors of a rainbow.” – Maya Angelou. 3. “Being a mom has made me so tired. And so happy.” – Tina Fey. 4.

This Diary of Motherhood is a series of weekly letters to my first baby, my little son who I call Baby Bird. I know not everyone wants to read about the highs and lows of motherhood so you can read non-baby related posts about travel, writing, freelancing or Amsterdam instead. Alternatively read one of my short stories or check out some book reviews and recommendations.   A positive side of motherhood. portrait photographer Sophie Ebrard in the confessional audio diary which formed part of her

Motherhood was clearly a very strong bond for Mary, and each child was loved and valued. There was no support here for the perception of ‘emotional distance’. They were as much part of her life as her writing and her love for Shelley. Shop for baby diary book online at Target. With Child: A Diary of Motherhood The complexities and challenges of becoming a mother has not been a central concern of second-wave feminism, but most feminists do also become mothers. The Bad Mother's Diary Although not my usual read, I loved this book and have already downloaded the sequel. I would have given it five stars but knocked one off for poor grammar. 'You and I' was used throughout the book when it should have been 'you and me'. Why do so many authors have such a poor understanding of their own language?/5.

Motherhood is a very important part of my identity, but I care about the other parts too, and, of course, this is true for every parent out there. So it’s nice to come across autobiographical writing about motherhood that’s not solely about motherhood. I’m a fan of memoirs that put experiences with parenting in the larger context of the Author: Rebecca Hussey.

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - “Diary of a Deadbeat Mom: The Road to Reclaiming Motherhood,” is a book written by a Sulphur woman. In it, Leigh Anne LeDoux chronicles her struggle with drug and alcohol addictions, while fighting to be a good mother for her children.

Writing Motherhood, embraces these stark realities; ‘the advantage of motherhood for a woman artist’ (Pg 15, Intro), as well as the heart-breaking possibility that, for every child born, there’s potentially a book lost. Reading this anthology reminded me that either can be true, it simply depends on your perspective at the time.

Motherhood is being responsible for the nurturing and upbringing of a child or children according to the mores of society. It is sad, however, in this generation, that many women who give birth are young, immature, and irresponsible, so, even though they are mothers, they do not demonstrate true : Beverley Charles.

Back inI opened a Google Doc and started an online diary of sorts to write down the daily happenings of motherhood that are more of interest to me and my family than they would be to anyone else.
